Today, outside my window

It's snowing today, here in Sweden. These two caught my attention, as I sat by the window, working. A moose couple? Or a moose mum and little one? Hard to tell. They passed my garden and took off towards the forest. Good thing I had the camera handy. Any adventures where you are, today?

Another favorite designer at Stockholm Furniture Fair

Talented Swedish designer Emma Olbers is showing several new designs at the Stockholm Furniture Fair this week, and at a special show at Designgalleriet. Very Scandinavian Modern, and very eco friendly. 

Samtidigt med Möbelmässan, som pågår i Stockholm denna vecka, ställer formgivaren Emma Olbers ut på Designgalleriet under tiden 8 februari - 3 mars. Se ett reportage från utställningen i tv-programmet Sverige (sist i programmet) på SVT-play. Utställningen kallas Stockholm Wood, och består av produkter som tillverkats av restmaterial från Stockholm. På bilderna ser du Emma Olbers senaste produkter som finns hos Asplund och Ire Möbler. 

Jag som har svårt för alla de klumpiga soffor med överdimensionerade armstöd, som varit populära ett tag, gläds åt att hitta riktigt fina soffor på årets möbelmässa. Emma Olbers välgjorda sittmöbler är både bekväma och smarta. Emma Olbers skriver så här om soffan Join (för Ire Möbler): Soffan växte delvis fram ur min strävan att göra mer hållbara möbler. Liksom många med mig tror jag att trenden från slit-och-släng, mot mer hållbara produkter kommer att hålla i sig, vilket också är något som jag verkligen sympatiserar med. Den här soffan är uppbyggd i sektioner vilket gör den enkel att bygga ut eller bygga om, allt eftersom kundens behov utvecklas. Jag hoppas att detta, tillsammans med Ires höga tillverkningskvalité, gör soffan till en möbel som man behåller länge, länge.
