My Ceramics and a Moon

Today I spent some time taking pictures of a few of my ceramic bowls in the garden.
At one point I got a little carried away
and placed the bowls among the wide, rhubarb leaves.
Made the bowls look like flowers, don't you think?

Finally, tonight, I couldn't resist the rising moon. Mesmerizing..

Our place in time

This nearly five-minute video really makes you think of how small we are in universe... and what we do with the time we are here. California based photographer and musician Shawn Reeder, spent two years working on this time lapse video of Yosemite National Park. More at the Huffington Post site.

A Monday Mix of Wood and Grays

Hope you had a relaxing weekend.
Today is Monday, but it still feels like holidays here.
Let me start the week with some wood, white and grays

The bedroom above I found via lonnymag.  The wooden bowls below I found via tumblr and the bathroom "sink" are from loghome.

Above: How about these sofa tables? Found via lalalovelythings
And the drawers are from this Etsy shop.

The gray doors below are from Pinterest (without a source),
and the beautiful wooden bowls I found at designtherapy

These last four pictures in lovely grays and whites, are all via tumblr,
without a proper source. (Let me know if you know where they are originally from)

More Color Accent Ideas for Monochrome Spaces

A few more color accents you may want to try, to liven up an otherwise monochrome space. Haw about a yellow headboard, ceiling or door? Scroll down for a ginger orange touch and some greens and blues.

I found the images for these collages here:

Great photos for your walls

Many don't want to work with children or animals. Others do. Like photographer Andy Prokh. His awesome images really get my imagination going. I think "open", story telling photos like these are perfect images for the wall. One never gets tired of watching them. Fantasizing - what's going on? What happens next...

Beautiful Wooden Benches

I love simple furniture. The simpler design, the more I love them!

It's no surprise then that I love stools. And benches. Both are very practical and looks good everywhere: as seating or as side tables. The bench above was found here and the bench below I found via tumblr

Aren't these two just beautiful? So simple and so clever. The wooden bench above is from MomoLiving and the combined aluminum-wood bench below is by designer Hilla Shamia is a new favorite of mine. Shamia's stunning design is currently on display at the Milan Furniture Fair. More on her work here.
