If you - like me - have more stuff than you actually need, 

but still want to add yet another function to a space, 

go minimalistic. 

No spectacular color. 

No intricate shape. 

Just a line. Or two. Or more...

I love wood.

It ages well and is the obvious choice for a wabi sabi interior. 

Just look at this beautiful stair/storage by an unknown carpenter (above). 

Or designer Benno Vinatzer's  Amedea stool/table (below).

Adding some pastels to the old and used

Pastels are trendy again. Like the soft shades from the Rococo (late 18 century). Or 1950s, like the ones seen here. Trendy means easy to find in stores, if you feel like adding some color to those things and surfaces that need a touch up. What's your preference? Blue or green? Or almost grey?
