Everyday Poetry

Laura Dart takes the most beautiful and poetic photos of things and situations in everyday life. Like these. I found them over at her website and blog, where there are lots of more goodies.

Muted Pastels in Mauve, Grey and Green

Swedish designer Jonna Fransson has made two beautiful botanical drawings, now for sale at the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm. In the details shown here, you can see the delicate drawings  - and the soft, muted pastels, often seen in contemporary design.

Natural and Urban

Some gorgeous photographs that fit my autumn mood.
Love the light and the mist in the two first ones.
And the materials in the back allay in the last one.

Very, very white

How far are you ready to take your all white interior?

Just for fun - here is artist Ka-Lai's art installation for a project in Utrecht
a wrapped livingroom space; walls, furniture and decorative details, all painted white.

Window of Light

I am obsessed with natural light.
And windows that let the daylight into an indoor space.
Let the sunshine in...

Great studio inspiration

I'm (still) reorganizing my studio, and though I know
it will never look anything like this,
I can't help drooling over spaces like these.
Those windows! Pure love.

Above: Constantin Brâncuşi's studio.
My own studio is more like Georges Noël's below. No big windows,
yet he created the most fantastic works of art in here.

My Instagram

Well, not really. Instagram is one thing too many in my current life, so these images from my home, is just ordinary photos, that I played with - instagram style. Above: autumn is approaching.

Above: An old shed, falling apart, at the far side of my land.
Below: detail from my kitchen stove.

Above: remains of an old chandelier, I found laying around.
Below: my veggie garden in spring, waiting for new seeds.
