Loft Living Shelter Style
This Australian copper clad shelter is isolated situated at the edge
of a ridge in New South Wales, and surrounded by large granite boulders
and ancient dead trees and with panoramic views for hundreds of miles to the horizon.
The retreat was prefabricated by the builder Jeffrey Broadfield in Sydney
and then transported to site.
It has openings at three sides to provide wide verandahs, as seen below.
When not in use these roofs close down
to completely enclose the timber and glass interior,
protecting it from the elements.
This remote retreat is planned for two persons.
It has a sleeping loft and small kitchen, crafted from recycled ironbark.

Nature + Architecture = Inspiring living
I just love it when modern architecture interact with the natural landscape.
When large windows kind of blur the border between manmade and natural space.
I just love the space in the pic below, but I could easily settle for any of them....
Well, perhaps not the last one: too much climbing for my taste.
I found these photos here:

Everyday Poetry
Laura Dart takes the most beautiful and poetic photos of things and situations in everyday life. Like these. I found them over at her website and blog, where there are lots of more goodies.

Muted Pastels in Mauve, Grey and Green
Swedish designer Jonna Fransson has made two beautiful botanical drawings, now for sale at the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm. In the details shown here, you can see the delicate drawings - and the soft, muted pastels, often seen in contemporary design.

Natural and Urban
Some gorgeous photographs that fit my autumn mood.
Love the light and the mist in the two first ones.
And the materials in the back allay in the last one.
